Solar Spa Club repairs and replaces window and patio screens on homes across the San Fernando, Santa Clarita, Conejo and Simi valleys, from Reseda to Newbury Park. Estimates are free. Call (818) 913-1626 Monday through Saturday, 7am to 7pm, or request an estimate.
What kinds of screens can you repair?
Window screens and patio screens. The usual problems are torn mesh, mesh that has gone slack, and screens that have come out of their frames. Pets, wind, ladders and years of sun do most of the damage.
Is it better to re-screen or replace the frame?
It depends on the frame. If the frame is straight and sound, we can put new mesh in it. That’s usually the simpler repair.
If the frame is bent, cracked or corroded, new mesh won’t sit properly. A new frame is the better fix there. We’ll look at what you have and tell you which makes sense.
What do you need from me?
For an estimate, send:
- How many screens need work
- Rough sizes, or measurements if you have them
- A photo of the damage and one of each type of frame
- Whether they’re window screens or patio screens
Photos are often enough for us to give you an estimate. Exact measurements get confirmed before work starts.
How long does it take?
We take the screens off-site to repair them, and they’re usually back to you within a week. When we give you the estimate, we’ll confirm the timing for your job.
How much does screen repair cost?
The number of screens is the first factor. Size is next, since a large patio screen uses more material than a small window. Whether you need new mesh or a new frame matters, and so does the type of screen. Estimates are free.
Can I bundle screen repair with window cleaning?
Yes. Screens come off for window cleaning anyway, which makes it a convenient time to fix the ones that are torn. We can also clean screens and tracks if you ask. If you have solar panels, ask about solar panel cleaning on the same visit.
Do I need to be home?
We take your screens with us for the repair and bring them back, so it helps to have someone home for pickup and return. If you’d rather not be, ask when you book and we’ll work out access.
Why fix screens at all?
A torn screen lets insects in and lets a window or sliding door stay open on a warm evening. A loose patio screen can flap in the wind and tear further. Fixing a small tear early is usually easier than fixing a screen that has come apart.
